Estimate annular capacity between a hole or casing bore and the outside diameter of an inner tubular.

Method
Field annular capacity in bbl/ft = (D² - d²) / 1029.4, with both diameters in inches.
Example: an 8.5 in bore around 5 in pipe has approximately 0.0459 bbl/ft annular capacity.
